Judge Dismisses Suit on Federal Stem Cell Research

A lawsuit that had threatened to end the Obama administration’s funding of embryonic stem cell research was dismissed on Wednesday, allowing the U.S. to continue supporting the search for cures to deadly diseases. The lawsuit, which was filed in 2009, argued that Obama’s expansion of federal funding violated the 1996 Dickey-Wicker Ammendment.
