No – complimentary lunch will be provided with the day’s program. Vegetarian options will be available.
How old does my child have to be to attend? Can I bring a child who is younger than kindergarten age, even if s/he will not participate in the activities?
In order to ensure the safety and enjoyment of everyone at Family Stem Cell Day, we require all attendees to be in kindergarten or older. Please make sure you indicate your childrens’ ages and grades on the registration form. We appreciate your cooperation in observing the age requirement.
Can I bring my high school student who is interested in attending?
Yes! The program is designed to be age-appropriate for students in grades K – 8, but will engage students of all ages. We welcome your high school student to join us, and will provide a separate track for him or her on that day. Space for high school students is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so please register early! If interest exceeds our capacity for the day, we will announce additional dates for high school students to visit the lab in the future.
Are chaperones required?
Yes, all K – 8 students must be accompanied by an adult. High school students need not be accompanied by an adult.
I am a teacher. Can I bring a group of students to Family Stem Cell Day?
Yes! We welcome groups of students, but there must be one adult chaperone for every five students who attend. Please email email@example.com to make arrangements.
Is there a cost to participate?
No – there is no ticket price for admission. The Family Stem Cell Day Parent Committee suggests a donation of $50 / family. Your pay-as-you-wish gift is fully tax-deductible and will directly support our research.
