Melissa J. Nirenberg, MD, PhD joined NYSCF as its inaugural Chief Medical Officer in September 2017. She is also a board certified neurologist specializing in Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology, and an Adjunct Professor of Neurology at the NYU School of Medicine.
Dr. Nirenberg pursued her undergraduate education at Yale University, and received her MD and a PhD in Neuroscience from the Tri-Insitutional MD-PhD program at Weill Cornell. She subsequently completed residency training in Neurology at the University of California, San Francisco, followed by a fellowship in movement disorders at Columbia University.
