Kristen Brennand, PhD
Professor at Yale University
2013 NYSCF – Robertson Stem Cell Investigator Alumna
PhD, Harvard University
Postdoctoral Training, Salk Institute for Biological Studies
Bio
Dr. Brennand is a Professor at the Yale School of Medicine where her research focuses on schizophrenia, a debilitating psychiatric disorder with no cure. She works with human stem cell-based models to study predisposition to neuropsychiatric diseases, applying innovative strategies including CRISPR gene editing to systematically test the impact of causal disease variants in human cells. She completed her postdoctoral research at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies.
