Working across many diseases and disciplines, the NYSCF Research Institute enables scientists to take on the major diseases of our time through stem cell research, leading technological and biological innovations that accelerate therapies.
NYSCF provides comprehensive scientific education for students, scientists, and the general public. We do this through in person and virtual conferences and seminars as well as other dedicated programs.
NYSCF supports a growing international community of outstanding early career scientists whose work is transforming stem cell research.
The New York Stem Cell Foundation combines the depth of a highly focused disease research institute with the breadth of a wide-ranging philanthropic organization. Since our establishment in 2005, NYSCF has invested over $450 million in stem cell science and continues to conduct world-leading stem cell research, both in our own laboratory in New York City, and also in collaboration with major medical research and leading academic institutions around the world. NYSCF conducts and supports research in Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, age-related macular degeneration, diabetes, cancer, psychiatric diseases, rare diseases, and more.
The NYSCF Research Institute, an independent disease research facility, is a non-profit accelerator that serves to bridge the gap between research institutions and pharmaceutical and biotech companies by reducing the cost, time, and risk that historically inhibit the development of new treatments and cures. NYSCF does this through our groundbreaking stem cell automation platform that integrates the most cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence and robotics.
NYSCF also hosts the world’s foremost translational stem cell conference, and plays a central role as a convener and supporter of the world’s top scientists.
