Bio

The goal of Dr. Taylor’s research is to understand the genetic drivers behind the formation of beta cells (the pancreas cells that produce insulin) from stem cells, and how these drivers may also contribute to beta cell dysfunction in diseases like type 2 diabetes. Defining these genetic drivers will help create better treatment and prevention strategies for type 2 diabetes, as well as help to improve the way we study this disease with stem cells.
