Bio
Defects in placental development are commonly associated with adverse outcomes like pregnancy loss and preeclampsia, but research into these phenomena is sorely lacking. Dr. Mumingjiang is tackling this problem by investigating the genetic factors that maintain genome stability in placental cells. Her work will yield insights into how placental development can be disrupted, with implications for improving human pregnancy outcomes and reproductive health.
