Dr. Haws is studying Fragile X Syndrome, an inherited neurological disorder caused by mutations in a gene that is necessary for brain development. He is investigating how the crosstalk between dysfunctional metabolism and epigenetics contributes to this disorder using a variety of genomic and computational technologies. His overall objective is to provide the foundation for therapeutic strategies for Fragile X Syndrome.
