Bio
The genetic blueprint we receive at conception plays a crucial role in our health, yet our understanding of how embryos acquire and correct potentially harmful genetic mutations remains incomplete. Dr. Jerabek’s work uses gene editing techniques to study a process called DNA repair in the human embryo, which is a central component of early development. His work will also explore strategies and risks associated with germline genome editing as a preventative approach for deadly genetic diseases.
