NYSCF Fellow to present at International Conference

Christopher Fasano, a NYSCF – Druckenmiller Fellow, has been selected to present a talk at the upcoming International Society for Stem Cell Research Conference.

His talk is titled “Specification of a functional floor plate from human embryonic stem cells”. The floor plate is one of the most important tissues in the developing nervous system and is thought to be the origin of midbrain dopamine neurons; the cells that die in Parkinson’s Disease. The understanding and generation of a limitless supply of these cells will be critical for developing future therapeutics for Parkinson’s Disease.
