Stem Cell-Derived Neurons Integrate and Function in Rodent Brains
Generated neurons from human embryonic stem cells not only integrated into rodent model’s hippocampus but displayed and promoted electrical activity when optogenetically stimulated. These results may encourage cell replacement therapy for the treatment of neudegenerative disorders and brain/spinal injury.
