Bio
Dr. Jun Wu is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Molecular Biology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas. His work has contributed to the development of novel culture systems and methods that enable the generation of new pluripotent stem cells for basic and translational studies. His lab mainly focuses on using stem cell models and interspecies chimeras to gain novel insights into mammalian development and evolution, as well as develop regenerative medical applications. Dr. Wu received a PhD from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Southern California with Dr. Martin Pera and at the Salk Institute with Dr. Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte.
