Dr. Barna is an Assistant Professor at Stanford University, where her lab focuses on the importance of ribosomes in cell communication to determine stem cell development and gene expression. She aims to show how ribosomes are involved in the remarkable diversity of cell types characteristic of normal embryonic development. She completed her postdoctoral studies at University of California, San Francisco.
