Dr. Douvaras used human embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cells to model the defects and identify possible treatments for multiple sclerosis. He had joined NYSCF after completing post-doctoral research at Mount Sinai School of Medicine studying hematopoiesis and the induction of pluripotency in primitive erythrocytes.
