News

NYSCF – Robertson Stem Cell Investigator Alexander Meissner, PhD, of the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics was one of 62 scientists recently inducted into the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO).

EMBO is an organization of more than 1700 leading researchers that promotes excellence in the life sciences. The organization aims to support talented researchers at all stages of their careers, stimulate the exchange of scientific information, and help build a European research environment where scientists can achieve their best work.

Dr. Meissner’s lab is developing and applying next-generation sequencing technologies to the human genome. Their goal is to better understand normal and diseased cellular states and how to alter them.
