Bio

The ability of our bones to regenerate declines with age, which can be attributed to the loss of stem cells in the skeleton. Dr. Morgani has discovered the role of inflammation in this process, and is now studying the molecular mechanisms that damage skeletal stem cells with age. Her work is identifying and testing therapeutic targets that could ultimately improve bone injury repair and prevent age-related bone deterioration.
