Dr. Brennand is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where her research focuses on schizophrenia, a debilitating psychiatric disorder with no cure. By developing a human stem cell-based model for the study of predisposition to neuropsychiatric disease, she has established a new mechanism by which to systematically test the impact of causal variants in human cells. She completed her postdoctoral research at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies.
